Monthly Classes Once a month we offer a 4 week class to help you enhance your personal and spiritual growth. Four weeks is just enough time to learn something new from a great teacher and connect with people of like mind and like hearts. Topics include such things as Meditation, Feng Shui, Aromatherapy, Crystals and Crystal Healing, Psychic Development, Divination, Drumming, Spiritual Growth, Flower and Tree Magick, Animal Totems, Aura and Chakra Healing, Palmistry, Numerology, Astrology, Tarot and Book Discussion Classes to name a few. If there is a class that you would like us present, please let us know.
If you are a teacher and want to hold a class at New Visions Books & Gifts, please let us know. We would love to accommodate you! Our guidelines are simple and our terms are quite fair. We will help you promote your class in any way we can!
Our classes are held in our beautiful and comfortable downstairs classroom one night a week on Mondays-Thursdays, depending on the teacher's schedule. Classes run roughly from 7pm-9pm. Although we believe that classes are a great investment in your personal and spiritual growth, we try to keep our costs as low as humanly possible! We require at least 6 people to hold a class, otherwise, it will be cancelled. Please sign up for your class the moment you know you should and send us the tuition at least ONE WEEK in advance to hold you space and ensure that the class will be held.

September 4, 11, 18 & 25, Thursday evenings from 7-9pm, Cost: $100 Aromatherapy 101 with Sharon Bibb Learn the practical side of aromatherapy and the beautiful art of blending. You will make at least one item to take home for your personal use in each class. There will be oils for your use and to buy at a reduced rate as a class member. Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, Vetiver, Lemon, Orange, Clove, Cinnamon, Cedarwood, Rosewood, Sandalwood, Peppermint, Spearmint, Eucalyptus, Geranium and Tea Tree are the essential oils we will be using. Sharon will answer all of your questions regarding the oils and their usage, and you leave with confidence in your ability to blend effectively. You will receive a certificate validating 8 hours of study in the art of aromatherapy, the therapeutic use of essential oils, and blending techniques. There will be a discount on the essential oils for those who attend the class.
Your teacher is Sharon Bibb. She has been a forerunner in the wholistic community and is dually certified in Aromatherapy. Sharon is also a certified Massage Therapist of 15 years and a graduate of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. She can be reached at (717) 891-6520. October 2008
October 7, 14, 21 & 28, Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm, Cost: $100 Working with Crystals 101 with Casey Brown Crystals have always amazed us! From the beginning of time, we have adorn ourselves with them, used them for healing, carry them around, coveted them, created altars with them and have enjoyed their energy. When people come in to New Visions, they go right for the crystals first!
Casey Brown, our resident expert on crystals will be offering a class on how to use crystals to enhance our life. She is a plethora of knowledge on the how’s, why’s and wherefore’s of our friends from the Mineral Kingdom. She will introduce you to stones and their properties and how to choose the stones that are just right for you. She will explain the many ways that you can put them to good use. You will leave this class with a greater understanding and appreciation of crystals. We will be offering discounts on the crystals you purchase while taking this class.
Casey Brown is a journalist, crystal expert and long-time associate of New Visions Books & Gifts. She has done extensive research on crystals, and has even written our crystal book that we keep by the crystals for easy reference, and she even wrote all of the information signs on the crystal bins. And we also know Casey. Being a Gemini, she has a great deal of information to offer, and she loves sharing it, and we are sure there are those who will want to continue your work with Casey and your work with crystals.
We will be offering more specific details of this class as time goes on.
