About The York School of Esoteric Studies... The York School of Esoteric Studies offers a program of progressive training designed to expand consciousness, heighten awareness, and guide the individual to higher levels of spiritual activity. The school emphasizes the study of holistic concepts throughout the four-year course of study. The curriculum is designed for the adult with no prerequisite or previous study in Esoterics, Metaphysics, or Spiritual Science. It is by studying and applying spiritual laws that we can change our unconscious beliefs and create improved conditions in our lives. Through classes and study, we can come to understand our oneness with the indwelling Divine Presence. The “Way of Life” we teach and practice is learning how to live in accordance with spiritual principles. These principles, or metaphysical laws, are as reliable as the laws of physical science. During the four-year program, we will look at creation and everyday spirituality, Esoteric Anatomy, Free Masonry, Rosicrucians, Gods and Goddesses, Hermetics, Meditation, Sacred Geometry, The Seven Rays, Cosmology, Essenes, Geomancy, and Gnosticism. We will draw on the work of leading philosophers of various movements including Plato, Dr. William James, and Rudolph Steiner. We will also explore the works of Helena P. Blavatsky, Alice Bailey, Manly P. Hall, Annie Besant, Dion Fortune, Barbara Brennan, and Carolyn Myss. These teachings will lead you to dramatically change and improve your life. Comprehensive study and certification in Tarot, Astrology, Neuro Linguistics Programming, Hypnotherapy and a Ministerial Program will be added in the future. The York School of Esoteric Studies is founded on the deep principles of Metaphysics, Esoterics, Spiritual Science and the Great Mysteries. It is a school for serious seekers of knowledge, wisdom truth and understanding which cannot be revealed in word only. It is a school for people no longer content with the status quo of life as they know it now. It is for those ready to go beyond their comfort zone and current boundaries, and are willing to stretch or even abandon current beliefs to find answers to life’s puzzling questions like “who or what is God?” , “what is this thing called life and why am I here?” At the YSES, we don’t claim to have all of the answers, but we have proven techniques to help you shift your paradigm to open up to totally new possibilities. If you can let go of your pre-conceived notions and expectations, then this may be the school for you. Anyone is welcome from all walks of life who hears the call and is ready and willing to make the commitment. What am I committing to? YSES is a four-year school, with optional advanced courses and a Ministerial Program. You are committing to go through one year at a time. You are committing to join us on a deep journey within, a life-changing quest with like-minded seekers. Classes are held one night a week for about 2 1/2 hours from 7pm-9:30pm. Prompt, regular attendance is a must! Classes run for two semesters per school year for approximately 17 weeks, weather permitting, usually late August through May. You will be required to read a number of wonderful books which contain keys to the Wisdom of the Ages. You will have homework to turn in weekly, there will be class discussions and sharing (but no weekly counseling sessions!) There will be occasional projects to complete and regular meditation. All four years will be held on the same weeknight that you started in your first year. We require a dedication and personal commitment like none you have made before, but the personal rewards to you cannot be measured in words. Are your ready? A student handbook will be given out in the first class. What is the cost? The cost of each semester is $300.00 by cash or check and there are two semesters per school year. The books vary in quantity and price each year. The first year requires the most, about 10-12 books, and the quantity decreases each year. New Visions Books & Gifts supplies all of the required books. Prices are set my the book manufacturer and are subject to change at their discretion. Books and tuition must be paid in full no later than one before the first class of each semester. A booklist is available upon receipt of your tuition. The school is set up in a way by it’s charter that it must be taken in order in it’s entirety. You cannot skip years. Payment responsibility is just as important as your actual studies and clearly reflects the character of the student. A partial syllabus will follow before your first class.

The first year is an introduction to the concepts of death and dying, reincarnation, life between death and rebirth. Other topics include philosophy, universal laws and prosperity. Second Year... Unifying Concepts in World Religions Prerequisites: First Year Teachers: Rev. Dan Yost & Jim Smith
The student will learn the commonalities, including history and philosophy, among world religions. Third Year... Foundations of Spiritual Healing Prerequisites: First and Second Years Teachers: Rev. Jude Hall & Rev. Gynn Harvey
The third year is an introduction to the exoteric and esoteric modes of healing, the involution and evolution of life. Other topics include glamour, illusion, anatomy, and human energies. Fourth Year... Abstractions and Concepts of Our Universe Prerequisites: First, Second & Third Years Teacher: Rev. Bill Trivett
In the fourth year, the student will undertake the advanced coursework in symbology, ancient wisdom and philosophy, tarot, astrology, kabbalah and secret doctrines. Fifth, Sixth & Seventh Year... Advanced Courses For YSES Graduates Prerequisites: Graduates Only Teacher: TBA
Additional courses are available for those who have successfully completed the four-year course. This program will be made available to school graduates who have shown true earnest in study and receive a calling. This is not an elective course, it is by invitation only by our School Founder, School Administrator and Fourth Year Teacher.
